THE NOBEL PRIZE GENDER GAP
SINGLE INFOGRAPHIC POSTER
This is a single infographic project that highlights the gender gap across the Nobel Prize categories. I chose a Sankey diagram to visualize the data, as it clearly illustrates the disproportionate representation between male and female laureates. I utilized the color palette and typography provided for the project, incorporating shades of blue and pink to distinguish between genders and emphasize the visual contrast in the data. To provide historical context, I also included the first woman to ever receive a Nobel Prize, as well as the most recent female laureate. The goal of the design was to make the imbalance immediately understandable, even at a glance. In addition to visual clarity, I maintained a clean and neutral layout to let the data speak for itself. Throughout the process, I experimented with hierarchy, spacing, and color balance to ensure the information was both accessible and engaging. This project strengthened my data visualization skills and reinforced the power of design in communicating social inequities.
